Rental Instrument Pricing

Band Instruments
Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone and Percussion:   
$20.00 per month for Used and Like-New   /   $25.00 per month for New. 
**All monthy prices include principal, tax and the R&R insurance-like program**

Alto Saxophones:
$30.25 per month for Used and Like-New   /  $39.35 per month for New.

The MSRP and contract length for each type of rental instrument is shown below.  We calculate the length of the contract by dividing the MSRP by the monthly cost.  If the instrument is rented for the entire length of the contract, the renter will automatically own the instrument.  To end the contract early, the renter may return the instrument, exchange to a different instrument, or pay-off early and save 40% on the remainder of the contract.

String Instruments 
There are 3 options when renting a stringed instrument.  For the lowest price, pay one fee and have your instrument for the entire school year.  You may also choose a 4 month package or rent one month at a time. 

Violin and Viola:  School Year $155.00; 4 Months $55.00; Monthly $35.00
Cello:  School Year $205.00; 4 Months $105.00;  Monthly $55.00

Strings work a little differently from the band instruments because a new string player is usually not big enough to play an adult-sized instrument.  The contract price is based on the MSRP of a full-sized instrument.  The rental principle paid builds as equity as the student moves from fractional (1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4) to full-size.  Once the renter is ready to own, they may pay off the full-size instrument they have, or upgrade to a step-up instrument and simply pay the difference.
